Amsterdam always offers something new, but 2026 promises to be an extraordinary year. Beyond regulatory changes (21% VAT and 12.5% tourist tax have raised accommodation costs), the city will host unique exhibitions, global festivals and historic celebrations. This guide details everything you need to know to make the most of the Dutch capital in 2026.

- Competitive tickets: Van Gogh and Anne Frank require advance booking. Anne Frank: tickets on Tuesdays, 10am, 6 weeks ahead.
